To raise and secure funds to support programs and services at Natividad Medical Center that continually improve the health status of the people of our community through access to affordable, high quality healthcare services.
About 70% of Natividad’s inpatients are of Hispanic ethnicity, and many have household incomes of $15,000 per year or less. The south Salinas Valley has the highest percentage of families in poverty (15.3%) in the state of California. There are 23 distinct languages spoken at NMC, and more than 1 in 3 patients has low literacy in their native language. One in five patients has less than a 9th grade education, and more than 40% are monolingual Spanish-speakers.
